Information Kept on Your Device
The application stores the working records you create locally on your Android device. This local content belongs to you and stays where the app is installed; it is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow. Typical local app content includes:
User-created local content may contain personal information if you choose to type it into a note, add it to an attachment, or record it against a freight check. You decide what goes into these fields, and you can leave them empty where a record does not need them.
The app also supports optional local photos. Where you add a photo or an image reference, it is stored as local app content on the device and is not automatically sent to the developer. Photos are selected by you, and text-only use of the app remains possible.
- Local database for freight checks
- Local status persistence
- Local notes you write
- Local attachments you add
- Local export files you create
- Outputs prepared for the Android share sheet
How Local Records Are Stored
Records are held in the application's own storage on your device. The app does not operate a login or account system, does not synchronise your records to a cloud service, and does not keep a server-side copy of your freight checks, notes or attachments.
Because the records live on your device, managing them is largely in your hands. You can remove local app data through your Android device settings, or remove it entirely by uninstalling the application.
Exporting and Sharing
CargoSea Freight can produce an informational resolution summary and let you export it to a file or pass it to the Android share sheet. Both actions happen only when you choose them. Nothing is exported, copied or shared automatically.
Data therefore remains on the device unless you decide to export, copy or share it. Once a file has been exported or sent onwards, it remains wherever you saved it or wherever the receiving app or service places it, and handling from that point is outside the app's control. External apps that receive shared content operate under their own privacy practices.
Features the App Does Not Provide
The application does not require login or account registration, does not provide payment processing, and does not offer subscriptions or other monetisation features.
Important Notice About Outputs
Summaries and comparison results produced by the app are based on the observations and records you enter. They are intended as informational and practical aids for your own review of freight evidence, and nothing more.
They are not certification, professional sign-off, regulatory clearance, or an authoritative determination of any kind. They are not legal, financial, insurance, or regulatory advice, and they should not be relied on as a substitute for formal professional, contractual, or compliance processes. Responsibility for the conclusions you draw, and for any action you take on the basis of an exported summary, rests with you.
How Long Records Are Kept
Local freight records, notes, attachments and photos remain on your device until you delete them, clear the application's local data through Android device settings, or uninstall the application. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save or share them.
The company does not hold these records on its own systems and therefore does not apply a separate retention period to them.
Protecting Local Content
Local app content is kept within the application's own storage on your device and is not held on company servers. Protecting the device itself, for example with the screen lock you configure, remains your responsibility, as does the security of any file you export or send to another app or service.
Your Rights in the UK and EEA
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, such as rights of access, correction, deletion and restriction. Whether those rights apply in your situation depends on the circumstances and on whether personal data is being processed by the company.
Because the app's core workflow keeps your records on your device and does not transmit them to the developer, the practical way to exercise control over that local content is on the device itself, by deleting records or clearing local app data. If you contact the company by email, the company receives your email address and whatever your message contains, and you may use the contact details below in connection with that correspondence.
Children and Age Requirements
CargoSea Freight is intended for users aged 13 and above. It is not directed to children under 13, and the company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If information of that kind is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.
